Our Story

Hello.

I am Brooklyn, I am a mother to two incredible neurodivergent boys. I am also an author, advocate, and the founder of Inclusive Stories, a brand I created to build the books, tools, spaces, and clothing I could not find when my children needed them most.

NeuroInclusive Apparel was born from that same mission.

When I first started designing in 2022, I was creating meaningful motivational designs for families, and special moments, pieces that connected with people on a personal level.

Back then, I was just a mum trying to express things that words could not always carry. But as my boys grew, and as I stepped fully into advocacy, the work shifted. So did I.

I began sharing more of our story, unfiltered, emotional, real. I met other parents, carers, and professionals looking for community, language, and visibility.

And that is when I knew: I could not keep waiting for the world to catch up. I needed to create something different.

Why I Created NeuroInclusive Apparel

There was no clothing that reflected what raising neurodivergent children actually feels like. Everything was surface-level.
Too generic. Too disconnected from our lived experiences.

I could not see my sons in the slogans. I could not see myself. So I made it.

NeuroInclusive Apparel is a part of the Inclusive Stories family, a collection of inclusive clothing made with the same care and intention as our books, journals, and sensory tools. It began as a way to show up for my boys.
Now, it is showing up for families like ours.

What We Stand For

We are not here to follow trends.  We choose phrases that speak directly to our day-to-day lives, like “My Safe Foods” or “PDA is not a behaviour.”

We honour the beauty and the challenge of raising neurodivergent children. We see sensory needs, speech differences, delayed milestones, emerging verbal journeys, burnout, joy, PDA profiles, and noise sensitivity, not as issues to fix, but realities to understand.

This brand is for:

  • Parents who advocate even when they are exhausted

  • Children who speak in scripts or not at all

  • Therapists, carers, and educators who get it

  • Families who deserve to feel seen

What Makes Us Different

NeuroInclusive Apparel is not just clothing.

It is community.

It is language.

It is visibility.

We care about how things feel, because sensory-friendly matters.

We care about how they fit, because all bodies deserve comfort.

We care about what they say, because sometimes your T-shirt speaks when you cannot.

Every design is intentional. Each message is personal.

We centre Black and Brown neurodivergent families. We celebrate difference without apology.

Thank you for being part of our story.

Because different is not something to fix.

Different is beautiful.
